- LaOlam’s relationship with the University Eben-Ezer Minembwe (UEMI) began in 2012. In 2013, LaOlam sent a leadership team to the Democratic Republic of Congo to evaluate the possibility and feasibility of partnering together with UEMI on ongoing long-term projects.
- On February 15, 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the UEMI and LaOlam organizations to cement our ongoing relationship and partnership. Since then, LaOlam has recruited, organized, and facilitated teams of teachers, doctors, engineers, social workers, and other professionals, as well as student interns work alongside of UEMI. These volunteers served the people of the Minembwe region with new and ongoing educational and community development programs.
